How Will The Coronavirus Affect Scottish Football 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️

So the entire game we love to watch, moan and rave about is currently on a complete shut down from grassroots to the SPL. How will this affect the team you support or even the team your child or partner plays for?? The entire situation is very complex and will force clubs to close down youth academies and I fear many clubs will go to the wall. I’ve seen a few debates on how best to handle the current situation, end the league now with teams current points and league positions, void the current season with no relegation, promotion or League winners, finish the season behind closed doors or freeze the season and pick things up where we left off after this pandemic is past us. All scenarios will have obvious complications and implications on all teams and it’s going to be very interesting to see what the SFA and governing bodies do. For me the fairest and best solution is to freeze the current league and pick up where we left off when the green light is given to play games again, however with this option there is the issue that players will leave teams due to contracts expiring (normally May) teams no longer existing and players having to find new clubs on reduced wages due to the impact of the coronavirus. The only real plus I can see from this entire situation is that youth players (if clubs can afford to keep there academies) may well be heavily relied upon to step up to the plate and get the luck they need to break into the first team, which in the long run can only benefit our national teams. However you look at it it’s a tricky situation to resolve. If you were required to make the decision on Scottish Football’s current situation what would you do?
